Is Your Marketing Leaving You Behind?
One of the key parts to any successful business venture is having a solid marketing plan in place.
With this idea in mind, how would you rate your marketing efforts these days? If they could be better, will you take the steps needed to get there?
Without a sound marketing plan in play, your business can suffer over time.
So, is it time to ramp things up starting now?
Take Time to Review Your Marketing Efforts
In looking at your marketing efforts, one thing you want to do is see how they compare to as recently as a few months ago.
Have the marketing initiatives you’ve put in play yielded you positive results? If not, are you content to let things the way they are or do something about them?
If you decide you need to put more emphasis on marketing, start by looking at what you’ve been doing and not doing. Are there one or more marketing initiatives you could be doing that may lead to more business? If so, why have you not tried them up to now?
One option to consider moving forward would be doing some podcasts.
Yes, podcasts are newer to the marketing scene than say emails or press releases. That said podcasts can do wonders for your business.
One thing that may have made you hesitate about podcasts is where to do them. If that has been an issue for you, get online and look around. Whether you want to find a podcast studio in San Diego or elsewhere, get one best suited to get your message out.
Keep in mind that good podcasts can drive traffic to your website. When this happens, you stand a better chance of landing new business.
If you decide to move forward with podcasts, do them professionally and promote the heck out of them.
What’s the Competition Doing?
It also does not hurt for you to know what some of your immediate competitors are doing as it relates to marketing.
So, if competitors are doing marketing you’re not and they get positive feedback, will you try them? While you never want to exactly duplicate what a competitor does, it is not a bad idea to try and put your spin on it.
It is also wise to get as much customer feedback as you can when it pertains to your marketing efforts.
Keep in mind that many folks get pitched daily marketing efforts from a wide range of businesses. Many consumers can prove good sounding boards for what works and what may not.
With this in mind, you should do your best to get feedback from current and prospective customers.
Such feedback can be gained through surveys and face-to-face conversations. Also, don’t forget about your website and social media pages. The bottom line is engaging consumers and keeping the lines of communication open.
If it seems your marketing efforts have left you behind, don’t you think now is the time to change things?
Remember, you don’t want to be late to the marketing party given its importance to staying in business.
